3 Minute Thesis Competition

Join us at the Faculty of Professions 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition:

Faculty Heat: Thursday 28 July (Rooms 7.04 & 7.05, Nexus 10); Time - To be confirmed
Faculty Final: Thursday 25 August (Rooms 7.04 & 7.05, Nexus 10) Time - To be confirmed

The 3 Minutes Thesis (3MT) is an Australian and New Zealand competition which provides young researchers the opportunity to develop research communication skills and profile their research.

Research higher degree (PhD and Masters) students will have three minutes to present a compelling oration on their thesis topic and its significance in a language appropriate to an intelligent but non-specialist audience. Students will be judged on communication style, comprehension and engagement with the audience.

The Professions Faculty will offer $500 to the first place winner and $400 to the second place winner selected to go through to the University Final scheduled for 13 September 2016 as part of the Research Tuesdays series.
