Program Outline

The Master of Applied Economics (International) program allows students to focus on areas of international finance and international trade within the framework of the Master of Applied Economics. The program blends practical experience with rigorous academic analysis to broaden the knowledge of practicioners in the field of International Economics.

The Master of Applied Economics (International) requires compulsory courses in intermediate and higher level international finance or international trade and econometrics. Graduates with a qualification majoring in economics (or students who have completed qualifying courses) can complete the program in 1 year and local students may study part-time.

Students whose degree is in another discipline, such as arts, engineering, science or business, must complete the Graduate Certificate in International Economics before being admitted to the Masters program. Completion of the Graduate Certificate plus the Masters of Applied Economics (International) will take 2 years of full-time study.
