A degree in Food Science and Technology allows you to design and oversee the manufacture of food and beverage products to ensure high nutritional value and consumer appeal. Students learn bio-chemical, microbiological, processing and packaging solutions to preserve and supplement the nutritional value of food and beverages. Training in the flavour and sensory attributes of food is required to provide consumers with convenient and functional foods that have long shelf lives.
This program combines world class training in the core sciences of biology, chemistry and microbiology through the University of Adelaide with strong industry-focused food technology through the TAFE SA Regency Campus.
