Advancing Practice. Clinical Impact

Hyperbaric Nursing equips graduates with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to participate in and manage patients receiving hyperbaric therapy. Particular emphasis is placed on safety issues surrounding working in a facility with either monoplace or multiplace chambers.

Hyperbaric Nursing provides graduates with rigorous grounding in attending and managing patients within a hyperbaric facility necessary to provide comprehensive treatment for a significant number of clinical conditions such as wound healing and decompression illness within hyperbaric facilities. Students will also graduate with a sound knowledge and understanding of hyperbaric patient assessment and anatomy and physiology as they relate to the hyperbaric patient.
