Program Outline

Australia has an international reputation in financial services both in terms of the growth and development of the industry and in particular, regulation and compliance. The Graduate Diploma in Global Wealth Management (GDGWM) will provide the foundation for those who wish to pursue a career in the rapidly growing field of wealth management and financial planning.

The Graduate Diploma in Global Wealth Management is a unique program that links higher education with industry requirements. The majority of courses are delivered in executive style intensive mode (generally Friday & Saturday blocks) by academics and industry practitioners. The program examines the needs of high net worth investors, aspects of global wealth management and investment processes, as well as developing an understanding of topics such as cross cultural negotiation, conflict and non-verbal communication across cultures.

Program Structure

The course is designed for graduates but candidates with suitable industry experience will be considered for entry. Advanced standing may be offered to holders of appropriate Diploma, Bachelor and Masters degrees. Grad Dip graduates can also be considered for advanced standing if they wish to study for a Master of Commerce Degree or MBA at a later stage.

Student Profile

"Quality education, a beautiful campus, comfortable and convenient accommodation."

Taylor Ryan

I considered other universities in Australia and Europe, and decided on the University of Adelaide because it offered the full package – a quality education, a beautiful campus, comfortable and convenient accommodation, and a great range of support services and activities.

I was looking for a one-year postgraduate teaching qualification, and Adelaide had that, plus it’s a well-respected Group of Eight university with a reputation for being one of the best. The program is comprehensive, striking the right balance between theory and practical experience, and I’ve found the lecturers to be really helpful and accommodating.
