Program Outline

The Master of Commerce (Applied Finance) is designed to provide analytical tools and new skills in the field of finance to candidates possessing an undergraduate degree in finance or non-finance disciplines. The teaching staff within finance come from all over the world and have extensive practical and academic experience. Candidates who have previously graduated from a recognised degree with a significant finance concentration may be able to complete the Master of Commerce (Applied Finance) in one year.

Program Structure

Students complete core courses which include four foundation courses and six applied finance courses. The remaining two courses will be chosen from a number of electives, depending on the student's main specialisation.

Professional Accreditation

Seventy percent of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program Canditature Body of Knowledge is contained within the Master of Commerce (Applied Finance); a program recognised as a CFA Program Partner.  

Graduates of this program will also be eligible for listing on the ASIC registry as ps146 compliant for several specialised fields of finance.
