Electrical Engineers design and create devices that use electrical energy. This broad field represents the leading edge of technology in many domains: from alternative energy systems to microelectronic computer chips; from the electric motors of hybrid vehicles to the control electronics of unmanned aircraft. Electrical & Electronic Engineering graduates specialise in a diverse variety of growing fields such as image processing, robotics, radar and remote sensing, micromachines, biomedical engineering and information security.
Well-suited to graduates wanting more than the one year masters engineering program, this program gives the option of studying technical courses at an advanced level and the opportunity to engage in a research project.
A 48-unit program, students will complete the requirements for the Masters of Engineering, with additional study comprising 12 units of more advanced technical coursework. A project to the value of 12 units introduces candidates to research.
