Graduate Certificate in Design Studies

This is a bridging program intended for graduates from other disciplines who wish to pursue studies of design in the built environment. The Graduate Certificate program is one-semester long and graduates from this program will be eligible to apply for the Graduate Diploma in Design Studies.
The emphasis is upon the knowledge, skills and context within which architectural practice takes place. Students choose from courses that address urban sustainability, history and theory of architecture, and technology in design. They also develop skills in architectural design and the communication of design through graphics, including computer-aided design.
The Graduate Certificate is designed to lead into the Graduate Diploma in Design Studies and the Master of Architecture (Coursework)
