The Group 1 upgrades include audio visual and lectern improvements only. The areas in this first stage are Flentji and Horace Lamb lecture Theatres, Schulz Building Seminar Rooms 307a & 308b and Medical School South PBL tutorial rooms MSS 11, MSS 17c, MSS 18 and MSS21b.

Work is now complete  for Group 1 upgrades. On time and budget. The Flentji and Horace Lamb theatres have dual projection facilities similar to that in the Napier 102. The smaller tutorial sized PBL rooms are the first areas to have large wall mounted LCD screens.

It is intended to return to these Group 1 areas suring end of year next summer holidays to complete the refurbishment of the physical fabric including seating.

The Group 2 upgrades includes Macbeth, Hughes and Rennie Lecture Theatres and Engineering Annex A308 seminar room. Consultants have been engaged and design is underway. Everything is on track for completion in readiness for Semester 2.

The Group 3 and 4 upgrades will be carried out during the coming summer breaks and involve the Charles Hawker, McLeod, Richardson Lecture Theatres and the second stage to the Flentji, Horace Lamb.
