The proposed Learning Hub on the Hughes Plaza will significantly address the student interface with the University on the North Terrace Campus.  An intermediate stage for the Learning Hub will support the following:

• Consolidate student service counters on or adjacent Hughes Plaza
• Review and consolidate retail and other support services on or adjacent Hughes Plaza
• Provide student computing and library access from the Hughes Plaza
• Commence the development of improved undercover social spaces
• Address wayfinding by establishing Hughes Plaza an information/social centre for the campus

This intermediate student centre will also be strongly related to the Barr Smith Library Masterplan.
