The measurement, management and utilisation of available space is paramount to the effective and efficient functioning of the University as a leading academic institution in this state, nationally and internationally.

Teaching Space Utilisation Reportstop

Introduction

The Report lists the parameters that were used by RUIS(c) as well as the targets that were set by the Property Services for this exercise. The detail has been given in html format for the various tables and accompanying charts.

Parameters

  • All reports filters for start time 9:00am, end time 5:00pm
    NB: RUIS calculates by period, so the reports show a start time of 9:00 and end time of 16:30.
  • RUIS finds busiest week for each report
  • Weekend bookings not included
  • Ad-hoc bookings are included

Room Frequency Factor - Report and Chart

The Room Frequency Factor measures the number of actual Room hours that are used in a given period against the number of Room hours that are available. (for further information space measurement categories see the Australasian Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers Newsletter, Issue No: 11, September 1998, pp.8-10)

Seat Occupancy Factor - Report and Average Seats Used Chart

The Seat Occupancy Factor measures the number of Seat hours used in a given period again the number of Seat hours that are available.  top
