Psychology Research InterestsI have a strong interest in the ‘third-wave’ cognitive-behaviour therapies, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I am currently investigating the impact of particular therapeutic techniques in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and how these might improve psychopathological symptoms. As a practicing psychologist, I have a broad interest in adult psychological disorders such as anxiety and depression. I am interested in research aimed at better understanding the cognitive-behavioural factors that underlie and maintain these disorders. Additional interests include Metacognitive therapy, Behavioural Activation for depression, predictors of treatment outcome, and Relational Frame Theory. |
