Psychology Research Interests
I have a broad interest in the specialist field of adult rehabilitation psychology. This includes the study of psychological principles and processes as applied to individuals with a chronic medical condition (e.g. multiple sclerosis) or those who have sustained permanent disability due to physical injury (e.g. spinal cord injury, burns, acquired brain injury). More recently, I have examined the effectiveness of telecommunication technologies in the provision of psychological services. Other projects I am interested in include: team processes in adult rehabilitation; psychometric outcome measures suitable to the medical population and utilisation of health services by this underserved population.
