Psychology Research Interests

My PhD research is focused on exploring the concept of athlete identity from a discursive psychological perspective. I will be examining identity and positioning, as well as issues around ‘discipline’, ‘motivation’, ‘choice’, ‘commitment’, and ‘dedication’, within newsprint media and also naturalistic interactions within a sports institute.
