Area of ResearchLearning and behaviour. Lateralisation in canines
MembershipsAustralian Society for the Study of Animal Behaviour
Psychology Research InterestsMy PhD is focused on functional asymmetries of the canine brain. Firstly, I am exploring the associations that exist between paw preference and factors such as temperament, age, and breed in the domestic dog. Secondly, I am studying the relationship between greyhounds’ paw preferences and their running style on the race track. Finally, I am looking at sensory lateralization – specifically, at the monocular and binocular influences on jumping kinematics
