Psychology Students' Association
The Psychology Students Association is a club run by Psychology students from the University of Adelaide (affectionately known as “The Psychos”). The club was originally formed in 2002 and has continued to grow since, with the support of the School of Psychology.
The main aim of the PSA is to bring an exciting social element to the study of psychology at the University of Adelaide, and to facilitate much-needed support networks between students.
The activities of the PSA are diverse, being both social and academic in nature. Our past social activities have included pub nights, barbecues and the annual pub-crawl, culminating with the inaugural Psychology Dinner last year. The academic activities have mostly taken the form of lectures presented by invited speakers in specialist areas of psychology or information sessions about psychology pathways. In 2008 we are looking to extend academic activities to a student mentoring program, and to establish links with other Health Science student associations.
The general atmosphere of the PSA is quite relaxed. Involvement from its members is strongly encouraged, whether that involvement is in the form of joining or assisting the committee, or attending events.
