The University of Adelaide is a Registered Training Organisation (Registration Number 40080) that offers the following nationally recognised qualifications:
- Certificate III in Music
- Certificate IV in Music
- Diploma of Music
- Certificate IV in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

Code of Practice
The University is committed to providing a high quality educational experience for all students. The Code of Practice outlines what students should expect from their VET experience and the University of Adelaide. The Code of Practice sits within the broader range of student related policies and procedures at the University.
Registration as an RTO
The registration process for RTOs is currently managed by the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology (DFEEST) on behalf of the Training and Skills Commission. Applications for registration as an RTO are submitted to DFEEST for assessment and review.
Standards for Registration
The University, as a training organisation must comply with the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) – a national set of standards which assures nationally consistent, high-quality training and assessment services in the VET system. The AQTF provides a number of essential conditions and standards for continuing registration and the University is required to demonstrate compliance with the standards to maintain its registration. Extension/change of Scope of Registration
The University is currently registered to deliver a limited number of programs. To extend the scope of registration, the University must submit an application to the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology. Interested areas of the University who wish to apply to extend the scope of registration should contact Quality and Reviews for additional information and advice. Latest News and Updates
A new national regulator, the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), has been established to regulate the vocational education and training sector to ensure national standards are met and to quality assure the qualifications and skills issued by registered training organisations nationally. ASQA commenced operations on 1 July 2011 with a timetable for transferring regulatory responsibility from the states and territories to the national regulator. It is anticipated that South Australia will transfer regulatory responsibility to ASQA later in 2011.
