Information on funding opportunities for research grants, fellowships and other types of awards can be obtained from a range of sources. Researchers can access the following links that will assist in finding funding from major granting bodies (national and international), myriad of other sponsors and internal (University of Adelaide) schemes.

Popular Funding Sources / Databases

  • SPIN / SMARTS / GENIUS : SPIN is a searchable database of funding opportunities. SMARTS is an automatic email notification of funding opportunities system (requiring SPIN entry first). GENIUS is a researcher profile entry and search engine to find other researchers.
  • GrantsLINK : Australian, state and local government grants and funding programmes.
  • GrantsNet : Search for grants available from the US Department of Health and Human Services (eg NIH grants).
  • Grants.gov (US Federal Government Funding Database) : All discretionary grants offered by the 26 federal grant-making agencies can be found on Grants.gov.
