As a way of informing and educating Australians about Antarctica and Australia's activities there, the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) administers the Australian Antarctic Arts Fellowship, enabling those with a non-science focus to experience Antarctica first-hand so that they may communicate this unique experience and understanding to other Australians. The Australian Antarctic Arts Fellowship aims to increase awareness and appreciation of Antarctica by focussing on:
- Antarctica's extraordinary natural environment and the diverse and hardy animal and plant life it supports
- Antarctica as the site and subject of Australian and international scientific and environmental research
- the small human communities forged on a vast continent of extreme climate and terrain
- the international treaty history, values and cooperation that shape Antarctica's geopolitical significance
Eligibility
Each year, the AAD invites applications from two main groups:
- artists, researchers, filmmakers and writers with a demonstrated track record
- talented emerging artists and writers from the creative arts, humanities, and social sciences
The program aims to nurture the production of excellent and significant works of art and interpretation by leading professionals and talented emerging artists and writers. Proposals should be supported by written commitments from collaborating organisations (such as publishers, galleries, broadcasters, employers) capable of assuring an acceptable level of exposure of the resulting work.
What the Fellowship Provides
The Fellowship takes the form of either a berth on a ship or an intercontinental flight to Antarctica and associated logistical support i.e. food, accommodation and transport. The AAD also provides cold-weather clothing on loan.
The Fellowship does not include travel to and from and accommodation in the port of departure (usually Hobart) or the cost of the required pre-travel medical examination. There is no financial component to the Fellowship. The Fellowship does not cover any costs of completing and distributing the proposed work.

The Australia-China Science and Research Fund (ACSRF) provides support for strategic science and research collaboration of mutual benefit to Australia and China.
Funding is available to support Australia-China Joint Research Centres and Group Missions.
Group Missions
Group missions are visits by Australian groups to China or Chinese groups to Australia to achieve specific purposes related to research and research-driven innovation.
Group mission activities may include:
- Early and mid-career researcher exchange programs with Chinese partner/s
- Research-related workshops and symposia with Chinese partner/s
- Research-related visits and secondments of Australian researchers to China (including cross-disciplinary and cross-institutional missions)
- Research-industry missions to China
How to apply
Only two applications can be submitted per institution per round and details of the EOI process will be advised soon. However, for the purpose of eligibility in applying for the institution’s Valid Reference Number it would be appreciated if you could advise Don McMaster don.mcmaster@adelaide.edu.au of your intent to apply as soon as possible.
A short 2 page EoI addressing the ACSRF criteria is required to be submitted to Don McMaster don.mcmaster@adelaide.edu.au along with the University’s internal Grant Application Coversheet by COB Friday 16 March 2012.

Cancer Council SA and SA Health have recently signed an agreement with the South Australian Health & Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) - South Australia’s very own health and medical ‘flagship’ research facility - to manage its investment into critical cancer research.
The Beat Cancer Project (formerly referred to as the SA Cancer Research Collaborative), managed by SAHMRI, will commence in the 2011-2012 financial year which means that all current and future grant recipients will be managed by SAHMRI, and SAHMRI will be the point of contact for any queries current or future.
Therefore, over the next five years Cancer Council SA will provide SAHMRI with $2 million per year to fund Cancer Council SA’s current and future cancer research infrastructure, fellowship and grants program; including Research Grants for 2013 which are assessed and ranked via the NHMRC Project Grant process.

Notification of Intent
The date for submission of the Notice of Intent (NoI) for CRC participation in Round 15, whether a new bid or rebid, has been extended and is now to be submitted on the NoI form to Dr Don McMaster (don.mcmaster@adelaide.edu.au) in the Research Branch by COB Monday 30 January 2012.
Once notification has been received the University internal process can begin and all available assistance can be provided.

The CRC Program Information Sessions will be of particular interest for those submitting applications in the 15th selection round, and will be conducted in conjunction with the relevant state or territory government department. Representatives from those organisations may be available to discuss support programs they can provide for CRCs as well as other relevant innovation programs.
There will also be an opportunity for potential consortia to meet with the departmental representatives in the afternoon of the scheduled information session. Prospective applicants who are not able to attend an information session and would like to meet with the department should contact the CRC program at the details below.

Minister Plibersek has announced a Call for an Investigator Team for the first Centre under NHMRC’s new Partnership Centres for Better Health program.
This program is designed to increase the availability and use of research and researchers for the organisations involved in delivering, managing or making policy for health and health care.
The first Centre will receive up to $25 million over five years from NHMRC and its funding partners: Alzheimer’s Australia, Hammond Care, Helping Hand Aged Care and Brightwater Care Group.
The Investigator Team selected from the call will work with the partners to develop a five year work plan on the Partnership Centre’s theme of ‘Dealing with Cognitive and Related Functional Decline in the Elderly’.
The focus of this themed Partnership Centre will be on supportive care in the home, the community and the long-term care institutions.
This Partnership Centre will involve a broad array of disciplines stretching from the medical sciences, through the health-related professions and well into the evaluative and social sciences. Similarly a broad spectrum of the caring sectors will have to be involved, from the institutional, through the community, the volunteer or charity.
The Call for an Investigator Team will close 24 February 2012.

The Malcolm Douglas Grant Research Fund was established in 2004 by Ms Natalie McConaghy in memory of her nephew, Malcolm Douglas Grant.
The primary purpose of the Fund is to facilitate research of an international standard into the cause of, or treatments for, patients with Morquio syndrome, other mucopolysaccharidoses, or other genetic disorders involving bone dysplasias within the lysosomal storage disorders group.
The Malcolm Douglas Grant Research Fund will fund one Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital campus, Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN), for a period of three years commencing in 2012.
This Fellowship will be open to graduates with a minimum of two years’ postdoctoral research experience.
The stipend will be $70,000 per annum for a maximum of three years, with a maintenance allowance of $5,000 provided in the first year, and a travel allowance of $5,000 in the final year to support national and international presentations of the research undertaken.

It is the intention of the NBCF Infrastructure Grant to ensure that Australian breast cancer researchers have access to the technology, materials and core capacities required for them to perform at the highest international level.
Activities that may be supported by a NBCF Infrastructure Grant may be operating in any field of cancer research, including: behavioural, biomedical, clinical, epidemiological, health economics, health services and psychosocial. Activities may include (but not be limited to) the following examples, to provide:
- access to technologies, such as genomics and DNA arrays, genotyping and proteomics
- cancer genetics screening
- access to tissues, cell lines or other biological material
- specialised biological models, such as xenografts or animal imaging
- population databases
- statistical, health economic or analytical capacity
- bioinformatics, library and information technology
- audio library to facilitate communication research
- expertise and support for clinical trials
Funding
Requests for resources, salaries and consumable costs will be considered up to a value of $250 000 each year for 5 years to a total of $1.25 million.
Eligibility
The Administering Institution and the Primary Applicant must make a joint application. The Primary Applicant must reside in Australia throughout the funding period, be an Australian citizen or have resident status, and be actively engaged in research in Australia.

The Centres of Research Excellence (CRE) Scheme replaces the Centres for Clinical Research Excellence Scheme and the Capacity Building Grants in Population Health and Health Services Research. CREs will provide support for teams of researchers to pursue collaborative research and develop capacity in clinical, population health and health services research. Funding will support three schemes:
- CRE in Clinical Research
- CRE in Health Services Research
- CRE in Population Health Research
Special Interest Areas
In addition to the general aims of the CRE Scheme, the scheme is used to identify and support research in special interest areas. In this Round the special interest areas are:
- mental health
- post-market surveillance of drugs and medical devices

In response to the recent positive detection of the Hendra virus in a companion dog and therefore the potential increased risk of exposure and infection to humans, the Queensland and New South Wales Governments, and the National Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC) have pledged funds to support an Urgent Call for Research (URC), the aims of which are to:
- better understand the biology of Henipaviruses, particularly Hendra virus, and
- develop management procedures and better treatments for humans affected by Henipaviruses, particularly Hendra virus
The information derived from such research will help inform Australian authorities on the development of best approaches to manage and treat those individuals infected by the virus, and be used for the development of public policy. Where appropriate, applicants must ensure appropriate bio-containment measures be exercised at all times.
Funding
NHMRC has allocated a total of up to AUD$3M to support a small number of funded projects in response to the Hendra virus UCR. NHMRC research grants of up to 3 years duration will be offered, but the period requested must be justified within the application.
Additional Sources of Funding
The National Hendra Virus Research Program (NHVRP) has committed $5M for commissioned Hendra virus research. In addition, the NHVRP has put $2M towards a Hendra virus research funding initiative separate to that of NHMRC. The focus of this non-NHMRC funded research will primarily be on understanding Hendra virus ecology, detection and prevention of transmission.

Applications for grants to support original scientific projects on the biology and cultivation of Australian plants are invited from research workers in Australia. The Australian Flora Foundation will consider all relevant applications, with special interest in the following categories:
- conservation of Australian plant diversity, particularly where there are threats from climate change
- the cultivation of Australian plants, to ensure their survival and reduce the threat to native ecosystems
- rare and endangered plants
Funding & Duration
The Foundation expects to support between two and four projects at $5000 - $12,000 each in 2013 with possible extension into 2014.
Eligibility & Use of Funds
All applications on rare and endangered plants should indicate how the research relates to the management plan for the species. The Foundation does not fund projects that are predominantly for equipment or travel (other than for essential fieldwork), publications, research on orchids, or taxonomy. The Foundation gives a low priority to flora surveys.

The Australia & Pacific Science Foundation provides support, on a competitive basis, to encourage high quality research by scientists in Australian national or state institutions, and similar institutions in other countries of the south west Pacific.
Occasional support may also be given to such activities as training, publications or conferences. Travel expenses for attendance at conferences are not funded, nor are expenses associated with the participation of scientists from countries other than that of the recipient institution.
Foundation grants may also be used to support specific components of large projects financed primarily by other agencies, though if the project is a sub-project of a larger investigation it must be sufficiently discrete for the outputs and outcomes to be independently evaluated. (Projects that may be seminal to subsequent larger grants from other sources are attractive to the Foundation.)

Applications for an Award from the Hansjörg Eichler Research Fund are welcomed from all current financial members of the Australian Systematic Botany Society. The project must contribute to Australian systematic botany (including cryptogams); must be carried out within Australia; and the applicant must be attached to an Australian research institute (in the broadest sense)
Funding
The maximum grant awarded will be $2000. Large capital items will not be considered.
Priorities
Students, recent graduates and newly-established botanists will be given preference. Applications will be assessed on the quality of the applicant and the proposed project. The project should be clearly defined in scope and preferably result in a publication.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for funding, the project must:
- contribute to Australian systematic botany (including cryptogams)
- be carried out within Australia
- be conducted by a researcher who is a current financial member of ASBS
- be approved by an appropriate manager/director, and in the case of students, also by a supervisor
- be conducted by a researcher who is attached to an Australian research institute
(in the very broadest sense, including herbaria, universities, government agencies)

HAL's General Call is for proposals that are seeking to be funded by Voluntary Contribution (VC). HAL can co-invest with a proposal applicant on a dollar for dollar basis. The funds contributed by the applicant are referred to as Voluntary Contributions (VCs). HAL is able to provide matching funds from the Australian Government for VCs for projects which fall within the definition of R&D and are in line with the Australian Government's Rural Research & Development Priorities.

The Herman Slade Foundation was established to encourage the pursuit of excellence in scientific research, particularly on topics which are designed to improve the ways in which individuals and communities interact with their natural environments.

The SA Grain Industry Trust (SAGIT or the Trust) has established funds for research, development, and extension into the growing, harvesting, storage, processing and marketing of grain in SA, in order to increase profitability and sustainability of the grains industry.
Research Funding
Research Projects typically run for several months to a maximum of three years, reviewed annually. Preference will be given to projects which meet the following criteria:
- Major emphasis on benefit to SA farmers
- Most work will be conducted in SA, but this does not exclude outside activities of benefit to SA.
- Applications should outline the issue being addressed, why it is important to farmers, the key questions, a brief summary of work done to date by the applicant and others, and why the approach has potential to succeed.
- Without losing sight of innovative research, emphasis will be on more immediate outcomes for farmers through development and adaptation of research, and extension.
- Greater emphasis will be placed on the impacts of the work on the farm system and business (rather than just science per se), and on the path to market for project outcomes both at the time of application, during the project and in the final evaluation.
- Opportunities for synergies and on leveraging through partnerships with other funding sources and industry.
- Emphasis on project evaluation, especially in terms of real or potential farmer benefit and how the adoption of the results will be measured.
- Commercial and IP revenues are an important consideration but not the main driver.
SAGIT will look favourably on projects where the applicant has shown initiative in identifying potential opportunities for cooperative funding arrangements.
Capital Item Application
SAGIT will usually only consider funding Capital Items as a part of a Project, however in exceptional circumstances Capital Item Only Applications will be considered. The relevant form can be downloaded from www.sagit.com.au
Travel Application
SAGIT will usually only fund Travel as a part of a larger project, unless there is a demonstrable benefit to the SA Grains Industry. The relevant form can be downloaded from www.sagit.com.au.
The call for travel applications occurs at the same time as capital and new applications and follows the same guidelines.

The aim of the TRF is to allow the FRDC to provide investment funds to its stakeholders in a timely manner to take advantage of opportunities, avert threats, or manage unforeseen events, as they arise. A TRF project may be of an urgent ‘break-the-glass’ type; or, it could also be a project that is used to overcome significant hurdles in, or to significantly fast track, important stakeholder processes, including production. In these cases it is likely that the adoption and benefits will be significantly brought forward if the project had not been funded at all.
Investment criteria
The FRDC's investment criteria specifically for the Tactical Research Fund are:
- projects should be a high priority and driven by the relevant stakeholders. The project proposal must formally demonstrate that the stakeholder supports the proposed project as a high priority, aimed at achieving a specific outcome or responding to an unforseen event
- project's outputs should be immediately adoptable by the stakeholder in order to achieve the specific outcome
Funding & Duration
FRDC investment (including any industry cash contributions) must not exceed $75,000 (this is not inclusive of in-kind contributions). Projects must be completed within 18 months. This is a category 1 funding scheme, listed on the 2011
Australian Competitive Grants Register (ACGR).

Each year RV Southern Surveyor undertakes a number of transit voyages between the ports where one Research Voyage finishes and the next commences. Between July 2012 and March 2013 Southern Surveyor will undertake five transit voyages, providing an opportunity for researchers, early career researchers and students to carry out underway or opportunistic science during transit voyages.
For Transit Voyages between 2012-2013, there are two programs available:
Next Wave
for early career researchers and students
Activities most suited to transit voyages are those that focus on the collection and analysis of data and samples while the vessel is underway between ports. Institutions are encouraged to develop training and education programs for onboard delivery that integrate with campus based studies. Berths will also be provided for the academic staff required to support the training program. These include a Chief Scientist to supervise the program and other watch leaders or supervisors.
Transit Voyage Science
for researchers
Activities most suited to Transit Voyage Science Programs are those that focus on under way data and sample collection, development of methods or testing of equipment. Bench and laboratory space and berths will be allocated to support the Transit Voyage Science Program.
Eligibility
All researchers employed by an Australian research organisation, based in Australia, are eligible to apply for time on the Southern Surveyor. Any transit voyage may accommodate both Next Wave and Transit Voyage Science programs.

The World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) promotes and funds, on a yearly basis, scientific projects in the anti-doping field covering the development or optimisation of analytical tools for the detection and/or quantification of doping substances or methods, as well as the pharmacology of such substances and the ergogenic effects of specific substances/methods or group of substances on athletic performance.
Special attention will be given to projects addressing:

In 2011, the Australian Academy of the Humanities and the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei signed a new agreement to foster research collaboration between humanities scholars from both countries. The successful recipient will be selected from each country on alternating years, with Australia selecting the first exchange scholar in 2012.
The Australian researcher will devote their visit to a Project comprising one or several of various activities, such as research, visits to cultural institutions, lessons, master classes, seminars, participation in professional meetings and scholarly conferences.
Funding is intended to support research activities based wholly or substantively in the humanities, pertaining to discipline areas for which the Academy is responsible, including:
- Archaeology
- Asian Studies
- Classical Studies
- English
- European Languages and Cultures
- History
- Linguistics
- Philosophy, Religion and the History of Ideas
- Cultural and Communication Studies
- Arts
Funding & Duration
This short-term award is for travel to Italy only, and is for a minimum stay of one (1)
month. The Academy of the Humanities will provide up to AUD$3,000 for an economy class airfare to Italy. Land transportation costs are not covered by this Award. The Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei will act as host for the Australian scholar, and will disburse an all-inclusive allowance of €1,500 for the month of the visit.
Eligibility
Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the Commonwealth of Australia, with a principal place of residence in Australia. Postgraduate students are ineligible for funding under this Programme. The programme is open to scholars at any stage of their career, but preference may be given to scholars in the earlier stages of their careers (within 5 years of the award of a relevant PhD or entry into professional scholarship in the Humanities).

The Waltham Foundation is a non-charitable organisation dedicated to expanding the frontiers of humane scientific research into the nutrition and healthy longevity of companion animals around the world. In 2012, the Waltham Foundation is offering grants to scientists, veterinarians and nutritionists globally, to improve and enrich the lives of companion animals. Projects may be of a veterinary, nutritional, or behavioural nature.
Funding & Duration
Two-year grants of a maximum value of $20,000 (USD) will be awarded to commence July 1, 2012.
Eligibility
The Foundation will NOT sponsor the following activities:
- Research into surgical procedures, pharmacological studies, toxicological studies or studies that are likely to lead to the development of a drug or vaccine
- Research into non-pet species (such as farm or wild animals) unless its relevance to companion animals is clearly stated
- Research that causes suffering or results in euthanasia of the animals involved
- Studies whose subjects have clinical conditions that have been artificially induced

Scholar Award in Studying Complex Systems
The Complex Systems program supports scholarship and research directed toward the development of theoretical and mathematical tools that can be applied to the study of complex, adaptive, nonlinear systems. It is anticipated that research funded in this program will address issues in fields such as biology, biodiversity, climate, demography, epidemiology, technological change, economic development, governance, or computation.
Funding: US$ 450,000 for 6 years
Eligibility: Principle investigators between 5 and 15 years post Ph.D.
Brain Cancer Research
Under this scheme, the Foundation is particularly interested in supporting novel research that will generate new knowledge leading to increased rates of survival and improve functional recovery for individuals with brain cancer. All proposals submitted to the foundation must clearly link the experimental models and questions to the realities of human disease. Proposals primarily intending to characterise basic mechanisms of growth and development that may plausibly but are not yet known to be contributory to human brain cancer are not encouraged. Proposals testing molecules as possible treatment interventions should consider including tests designed to uncover unintended biological effects of such molecules that would disqualify future clinical usefulness. Research with in vitro or in vivo model systems must demonstrate that the model has predictive value for human tumours.
Funding: US$ 450,000 between 3-6 years

This scheme seeks applications requesting grant support for projects related to causes of prematurity. Research proposals of new paradigms based on strong conceptual frameworks are invited. The proposals need to consider especially, but not be limited to, genetics, gene-environment interactions, and animal models. We encourage novel approaches.

New Tools to Study Astrocyte Heterogeneity, Development and Function in Brain Regions Relevant to Mental Illness (R01)
The primary objective of this FOA is to address barriers to astrocyte research that are due to the scarcity of tools and datasets to target and identify astrocytes rigorously. Applications should aim to transform the field of astrocyte research by generating resources that will be widely used throughout the neuroscience community. Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Etiology, Diagnosis, Pathophysiology, and Treatment (R01 & R21)
Applications for this scheme are sought that propose to examine the etiology, diagnosis, pathophysiology, and treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), sometimes referred to as myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), in diverse groups and across the lifespan. Applications that address gaps in the understanding of the environmental and biological risk factors, the determinants of heterogeneity among patient populations, the common mechanisms influencing the multiple body systems that are affected in ME/CFS are encouraged. Causes and Consequences of Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes (R01)

CFRD is one of the most common complications of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) that occurs in almost half the patients with Cystic Fibrosis as they age. The Leo Baeck Institute is offering the Gerald Westheimer Career Development Fellowship as a personal grant to a scholar or professional in an early career stage (prior to gaining tenure in an academic institution, for example), whose proposed work would deal with topics within the Leo Baeck Institute’s mission: namely historical or cultural issues of the Jewish experience in German-speaking lands.

Recently Cancer Council SA and SA Health signed an agreement with the South Australian Health & Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) - South Australia’s very own health and medical ‘flagship’ research facility - to manage its investment into critical cancer research.
Travel Grants
For 2012, limited support is available to offset the costs of travel and accommodation for junior South Australian Cancer Researchers (PhD, and Masters students, junior postdoctoral Fellows, and other junior researchers – no more than 5 years post doctoral) who have been invited to present their work at a national or international scientific meeting, or who plan to attend such meetings, or who wish to undertake short term study.
Distinguished Visitors Grants
For 2012 , limited funds have been set aside to support visits by international experts who can add value to cancer control in South Australia. A condition of the award is that it must be used during the calendar year ending 2012.
Any South Australian agency or department actively involved in cancer research, caring for people affected by cancer, or community education about cancer, may apply for a grant-in-aid to bring an appropriate 'distinguished visitor' to South Australia.

The CASS Travel Grants enables early career researchers (ECR) to attend international conferences. The applicant is expected to be presenting new research as a platform presentation or as a poster where the applicant is first author. The grants are not available for travel to attend conferences being held in Australia.
The maximum amount of a CASS Travel Grant that may be awarded is the lesser of A$6,000.00 or eighty percent (80%) of the ‘Total Cost’ as disclosed on the Application Form.

International Research Collaboration on Drug Abuse and Addiction Research (R01)

In response to the recent positive detection of the Hendra virus in a companion dog and therefore the potential increased risk of exposure and infection to humans, the Queensland and New South Wales Governments, and the National Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC) have pledged funds to support an Urgent Call for Research (URC), the aims of which are to:
- better understand the biology of Henipaviruses, particularly Hendra virus, and
- develop management procedures and better treatments for humans affected by Henipaviruses, particularly Hendra virus
The information derived from such research will help inform Australian authorities on the development of best approaches to manage and treat those individuals infected by the virus, and be used for the development of public policy. Where appropriate, applicants must ensure appropriate bio-containment measures be exercised at all times.
Funding
NHMRC has allocated a total of up to AUD$3M to support a small number of funded projects in response to the Hendra virus UCR. NHMRC research grants of up to 3 years duration will be offered, but the period requested must be justified within the application.
Additional Sources of Funding
The National Hendra Virus Research Program (NHVRP) has committed $5M for commissioned Hendra virus research. In addition, the NHVRP has put $2M towards a Hendra virus research funding initiative separate to that of NHMRC. The focus of this non-NHMRC funded research will primarily be on understanding Hendra virus ecology, detection and prevention of transmission.

The Foundation seeks applications for grants for research into the causes, prevention and cure of disease in animals and in particular in the canine, feline and other companion animal species, and relevant to small animal veterinary practice.
The type of research funded is wide ranging, but it must be for the direct benefit of companion animal species. Some examples would be investigation into arthritis, heart disease, diabetes and cancer, which focuses upon on a better understanding of the basic disorder, and thus lead to improved methods of treatment and prevention.
Funding
Grants are unlikely to exceed $7,500.00 per year.

The Ian Potter Foundation is one of Australia's leading private philanthropic organisations. The Foundation has a track record of funding projects led by far sighted individuals and organisations that improve the Australian community's ability to respond creatively to social, environmental, science and health issues, and that develop our capacity as a nation through the arts and education.
Applications in this round will be accepted for the following program areas:

Funding
There is no maximum amount for the Foundation’s grants, however separate applications forms are required for Small Grants (for funds requested under $20,000), to those proposals requesting larger amounts.
The amount requested should match the scope of the project or program applicant organisations wish to undertake, and the size and capacity of the organisation. The amount requested should also take into consideration the amount being contributed by other sources, and the applicant organisation’s own contribution.
Submission
All applications are single stage, with the exception of Community Wellbeing Grants for amounts request over $50,000 whereby an Expression of Interest is required in the first instance.
A hardcopy of finalised proposals must also be submitted to the Research Branch, accompanied by a signed and completed hardcopy of the University's Grant Application Coversheet.

The Feminist Review Trust exists to fund research and other scholarly activity on all aspects of gender. The Trust supports projects that may otherwise be difficult to fund via conventional academic sources, such as projects with a core feminist, or activist approach.
Funding
The maximum value of any individual award is UK £10,000.
Submission
It is a standard requirement for applicants to submit a hardcopy of finalised proposals to the Research Branch by the internal due date, accompanied by a completed and signed hardcopy of the University's Grant Application Coversheet. Specific submission requirements may vary according to sponsor.
