ARC Linkage Projects 2010 (Round 2)

Linkage - Projects aims to foster alliances between higher education institutions and external organisations. A specific objective of this programme is to provide opportunities for Postdoctoral and Postgraduate researchers to pursue high quality research collaboration with external organisations.

University Deadlines

• Notification of Intent: due 31 August 2009 . Applicants are requested to complete a simple Notification of Intent (NoI) form and return to arcgrants@adelaide.edu.au. This will assist RB and ARI Pty Ltd to coordinate and streamline approaches to developing Linkage Projects and their concomitant agreements.

• Eligibility ruling: requests must be sent to the Research Branch by Wednesday 7th October 2009. Please note that these requests must be completed in the ARC's Research Management System (RMS).
• Proposals: Completed proposals, with certification proforma & coversheet, are due in Research Branch under a 'three tiered' deadline based on the checking level desired:
• Full Review: by Wednesday, 28 October 2009.
• 'Error Check':After 28 October and by Friday 6 November 2009.
• Submission only - No Review:after 6 November 2009.

Please provide one valid and complete RMS pdf of your application together with the UA application coversheet and ARC certification proforma.

Research Management System (RMS)

You will also be required to locally submit your application on the ARC's Research Management System (RMS) when you submit your hard copies to the Research Branch. To log onto RMS please go to: https://rms.arc.gov.au/

RMS Login Page

Users with existing GAMS IDs simply need to click on the “Reset Password” link, enter your current GAMS ID (case sensitive) and click on “Request”. You should then be sent an e-mail from the RMS system allowing you to reset your password.

You can retrieve your username by clicking on “Retrieve User Name”. New users without a GAMS or RMS Username will need to click on the “Request New Account” and complete the mandatory fields. RMS has a context-sensitive HELP link at the top of each webpage to assist applicant.

PDF Documents

RMS requires a number of documents to be uploaded in pdf format. The PDF AdLib Relay converter software allows you to submit a file via the web, which is then converted into PDF format and e-mailed back to you.
