ARC/NWC Co-funded Centre for Groundwater Research and Training

The objective of this special research initiative is to establish an ARC/NWC Co-funded Centre for Groundwater Research and Training which supports novel, innovative and cross-disciplinary research and relevant training in the field of groundwater, and which enhances and underpins the National Water Initiative, specifically the following :

• Groundwater resources assessments and modelling, including surface water interactions, recharge and discharge, extraction, sustainable use, managed aquifer recharge analyses, environmental impacts and approaches to water accounting
• Groundwater monitoring, including quality
• 3D aquifer characterisation
• 3D digital groundwater resource database development
• Development of decision support systems and public access to data and information
• Training a new generation of hydrogeologists, groundwater engineers and managers
• Assessment of community, social and economic factors, including land use and climate change impacts

Applications are not submitted through GAMS, but via the form below. You will also need to provide the following:

• Application Coversheet (to be signed by 1st named CI & HOS).
• Certification Proforma (to be signed by all CI's/PI's & respective DVCR/CEO).

The ARC will return the originals to the Administering Organisation, and they should be retained for their records.
