UA Internal Process
ARC Expression of Interest (EoI) as "First Stage"
Key Dates
- Internal Expression of Interest (EoI) to be received in Research Branch by 26th October 2009.
- If approved, ARC Expression of Interest (EoI) to be received in Research Branch by 16 November 2009.
- Applicants that have not prepared a fully-endorsed internal EoI, including indicative levels of School and Faculty financial support, will not be supported by the University. Any intending applicants that have not yet provided a complete and fully-endorsed internal EoI to Research Branch must do so as soon as possible (by 26th October 2009).
- It is expected that Heads and Executive Deans will not endorse speculative or uncompetitive EoIs.
- DVCR will then make the final determination as to which bids will submit EoIs to the ARC on the basis of the quality of the team, proposal, and preparation to date.
- The Research Branch has set a University closing date for receipt of ARC EoIs of 16 November 2009. These will need the counter-signature of the relevant Heads and Executive Deans.
- It is worth noting that the ARC's EoI form does not have a budget section.
Full Proposals
- After the ARC notifies those applicants who have been invited to submit a Full Proposal, then the specific details of necessary support can be developed in conjunction with the Full Proposal. A meeting of the lead researcher, Head/s, Executive Dean/s and the DVCR, will be held very soon after the EoI outcomes are known.
- Full Proposal Key dates tba.
