Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has some of the best researchers in the country such as South Australia's first Federation Fellow Graeme Hugo (currently a Professorial Research Fellow), Nobel Laureate winner John Coetzee, and outstanding teachers who have won national teaching and learning awards.
The Faculty has a distinguished track record in research both nationally and internationally and has been successful in winning major grant and other funding over the years.
The 2010 ERA results confirmed that the Facuty of Humanities and Social Sciences is home to some of the highest quality research in Australia. Scores of 5 were awarded in the following discipline, and sub-discipline, areas, indicating outstanding performance well above world standard (see more about ERA 2010):
