The Brailsford Robertson Award 2007 - 2008

The University of Adelaide and CSIRO Human Nutrition are jointly funding an award of $200,000 to encourage collaborative research into life sciences between members of the two organisations. Where appropriate, industry and/or international collaboration will be highly regarded.

The award will fund a collaborative research project between members of the two organisations, recognising the contribution of Professor T Brailsford Robertson to the University of Adelaide as Professor of Physiology and Biochemistry (1919-1927) and to CSR (later CSIRO) as Chief of the Division of Animal Nutrition (1927-1930).

Projects with the potential to forge links with international research institutes in food, nutrition and health are strongly encouraged, as are those with the potential to lead to more significant research programs, which would have the capacity to attract funding and support from sources external to the University and the CSIRO.

An amount up to a total of $200,000 over two years will be awarded to the successful applicant team.

Proposals for the Brailsford Robertson Award for 2007-2008 are now invited from members of the University and CSIRO Human Nutrition.

Enquiries in relation to the Brailsford Robertson Award may be directed to Kate Jarrett at the Research Branch - Telephone 8303 3765 or email at kate.jarrett@adelaide.edu.au

Applications are due in Research Branch by 13 November 2006.
