Animal Ethics 2008 Process and Submission Deadlines

Internal Deadline

Two faculty-based AECs, Medical and Science, meet every six weeks to consider all applications for ethical approval including variation to existing clearances.

From January 2008 there will be separate submission deadlines for the two AEC's.

Applications must reach the AEC Secretary by 12.00pm on the Friday deadline if they are to be included on the Agenda for the subsequent AEC meeting. Applications received after these deadlines will be held till the next round.

Heart Foundation Grants-in Aid (now through NHMRC application process)

Internal Deadline

The Heart Foundation awards Grants-in Aid to support basic, clinical or public health research relevant to heart, stroke and blood vessel disease. 

The Heart Foundation is pleased to announce a new agreement with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) to partner in the administration of our research funding process for project grants. Under the agreement, applications for funding from the Heart Foundation will be initially assessed by the NHMRC.

Each year The Cancer Council South Australia (TCCSA) offers limited support to offset the costs of travel and accommodation for South Australian Cancer Researchers who have been invited to present their recent work at a national or international scientific meeting, or who plan to attend such meetings, or who wish to undertake short term study.
