Complementary Medicines Strategic Awards

This special call for research provides $5 million to fund the best innovative research into Complementary and Alternative Medicine that addresses needs or information gaps that are not already being covered through other means. The scope of this call encompasses research on a diverse group of health-related substances, therapies and disciplines that are not considered to be part of mainstream medical care in Australia. These include herbal medicine, vitamin and mineral supplements, nutritional supplements, traditional medical systems such as Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture and homeopathic medicine.
