Research Interests
Dr Tremellen's principal research interests include:
- developing novel therapies for recurrent miscarriage
- male infertility secondary to oxidative stress.
Through this research, he has developed close ties
with commercial partners Gropep (recurrent
miscarriage therapy) and Roche Consumer Health (male
infertility therapy). He is focused on the development of ties
between basic science and commercial applications and has also conducted
research into new tests for detecting premature ovarian failure.
This research has now been translated into a clinical program termed
the 'Egg Timer' service.
He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New
Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member
of the Fertility Society of Australia and the American Society for
Reproductive Medicine.
