Research Interests

Dr Tremellen's principal research interests include:

  • developing novel therapies for recurrent miscarriage
  • male infertility secondary to oxidative stress.

Through this research, he has developed close ties with commercial partners Gropep (recurrent miscarriage therapy) and Roche Consumer Health (male infertility therapy). He is focused on the development of ties between basic science and commercial applications and has also conducted research into new tests for detecting premature ovarian failure. This research has now been translated into a clinical program termed the 'Egg Timer' service.

He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of the Fertility Society of Australia and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
