| Description | The Advisory Committee of the University and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital was inaugurated in 1959 to "advise and assist the Council of the University of Adelaide and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Board with any matter concerning the medical course of the said University and the attendance and instruction at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital of students in the said course". In practice, the Committee's role involved approving appointments of honorary medical staff. The records of the Committee relate primarily to appointment of visiting and honorary medical staff, but also refer to other staff appointments, questions of status, staff conditions and similar related matters. |
