The records consist of a duplicate copy of the original grant of the University (North Terrace) site by the South Australian Government. This is comprised of the grant of land and a plan of the site with no seal or signatures. An exchange of part of the site thus granted was effected under Act No.45 of 1876. The deed is dated 15/1/1875.
