The records were compiled by the Secretary, John H. Grainger, from May 1891. They include lists of committee members, players and original members. The Quartet lapsed after the 1885 season, was revived for six concerts in 1891 in conjunction with the Adelaide College of Music and reconstituted to give the Adelaide Chamber Music Concerts, 1892-1895.
