The Experimental Facilities Holding Area Committee was appointed by the Planning Committee in 1973 to enquire into the provision of holding facilities for animals and plants on the North Terrace campus. The Committee Chairman was Professor C.A. Hurst. The first report which recommended the use of an area on the east side of Frome Road or the carpark west of the Fisher Laboratories was rejected and the committee reconvened to consider the use of Waite for future facility needs. The records include signed minutes and a copy of the final report issued in October 1975. There is also a copy of a report on negotiations for the acquisition of land for the Medical Sciences Building.
