The records are a compilation of correspondence, reports and lists relating to University staff membership of Academies. These were collated in response to a request from the Acting Personal Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor, Mr. P. Anderson, who was undertaking research on the Vice-Chancellor's behalf to ascertain the rates of academy membership across Australian universities, including Adelaide University.
