The Public Relations Committee was established in 1967 as a sub-committee of the Education Committee with the purpose of counteracting unfavourable impressions of the University sometimes highlighted in the newspapers. The series consists primarily of unofficial minutes and papers collated by an originating member, Mr Robert Culver. There is also correspondence of Information Office workers and press clippings relating to other universities.
