On 17 April 1903, Joseph Fisher Esquire paid the sum of 1000 pounds to the University for the purpose of promoting the study of commerce. The grant provided for a medal awarded annually to a student of Advanced Commerce and a lecture on a subject relating to commerce to be delivered every alternate year. The records consist of promotional publications and copies of the lectures.
