Professor Arthur James Perkins was Principal of Roseworthy Agricultural College from 1904 to 1914. He had previously been the first Government Viticulturalist and was later Director of Agriculture in South Australia until 1936. The records consist of indexed volumes of typewritten notes including the topics of soils, crops, manures and livestock.
