The records consist of papers of University Chancellors in the period 1998-2004, who included Bruce Webb, Brian Croser (Acting Chancellor), Robert Champion de Crespigny and, for a brief period at the end of the time frame, John von Doussa. Two bundles of copies of correspondence are included, plus four bundles of office memos and related paperwork and one folder of miscellaneous papers. The records relate to such varied aspects of the Chancellor's role as travel plans, invitations, entertaining, questions of patronage, university council appointments, speaking engagements, university governance and other matters. Much of the documentation was actually generated by members of the Chancellor's staff.
