Description

The Personnel Committee was established by University Council on the 2nd of May 2002. Composed of the Convenor (Chancellor's nominee), VC, up to four Council members and up to 2 members external to the University, the Committee is responsible for advising Council on personnel policies. The Committee's purview covers staff profile, operation of personnel policies, promotions, staff turnover and staffing issues generally. Appointments, promotions, terminations, staff development policies, industrial relations, enterprise bargaining, occupational health and safety come under the Committee's terms of reference. The series consists of the records of the committee, including minutes (unofficial), agendas and working papers, from its inception. The records were created by Mr Tony Siebert, Executive Director of Finance and Infrastructure, in his capacity as a member of the committee.
