The series consists of records of the Committee that was responsible under its terms of reference for keeping the College Master Plan under review as well as the College's needs for roadways, land and buildings. It prepared submissions to the Properties Committee for funding and programmes for utilization of funds approved by College Council for buildings. It was also responsible for implementing programmes and had the authority to prioritise expenditure. It was sometimes referred to as the Grounds Committee.

This Committee on the Buildings and Grounds is reponsible under the terms of reference for keeping the College Master Plan under review, to keep under review the College needs for roadways, land and buildings. The committee were to propose to the Prpoerties Committee submissions for funding, programmes for utilization of funds approved by College Council for buildings. The committee were to be responsible for implementing programmes and would exersie such authority in respect of buildings they also had the right to priorities expenditure. This Committee was sometimes called the Grounds Committee. Series 1188 item 16 relates to this Committee.
