"Imprisonment: Alternatives and Public Safety in the Eighties" was a seminar held under the auspices of the South Australian Probation and Parole Officers Association in April 1983. Organised by the Department of Continuing Education, the seminar featured Justice Michael Kirby and University of Adelaide law lecturer Dr. Allan Perry as keynote speakers. Included is organisational and promotional material, copies of the two keynote speeches and an article from The Advertiser on the seminar.

This material relates to the 6th Annual Australasian Tertiary Study Skills Conference ("Learning to Learn") held at the University of Adelaide in May 1985. The conference was organised primarily by Neil Quintrell of Flinders University with some participation from Office of Continuing Education staff. The item consists mainly of organisational material with several brochures and a lists of conference registrants.

The Accounting Association of Australia and New Zealand 1986 Annual Conference ("AAANZ \x9186") was held in August at Flinders University. Sue Moore of the University of Adelaide\x92s Office of Continuing Education played a role in organising the conference as a member of the Operations Committee. The material accumulated by Ms Moore in this capacity includes Committee agenda and minutes, correspondence with conference registrants, brochures and conference papers.

The Fourth Annual Conference of Computer Assisted Learning in Tertiary Education ("CALITE \x9286") was held in December 1986 at the University of Adelaide. Convenors were Ms Glenys Bishop of the Waite Institute and Mr Wennie van Lint of the University\x92s Commerce Department. Sue Moore of the Office of Continuing Education was employed as an organiser. This item consists of organisational material, correspondence with conference participants and attendees, and conference brochures and programs. Also included are original copies of conference papers collected for publication.

The International Symposium On Manganese In Soils And Plants was held at the Waite Institute from 22nd to the 26th August, 1988. A major conference and \x91Australian Bicentennial Event\x92, it attracted over 100 conference delegates from around Australia and the world. As a conference organiser Sue Moore accumulated a significant quantity of material including Organising Committee agenda and minutes, correspondence with delegates, promotional and other material. Also included are draft papers and published proceedings.

The "Educational Broadcasting: The Challenge of the \x9190s" conference was held in February 1990 under the auspices of the Public Broadcasting Association of Australia. The conference convenor was Raffaele Tardivo of 5UV and the conference registrar John Pryzibilla of the Office of Continuing Education. The latter collected the material that makes up this item including a brochure, program, correspondence and a newspaper article on the conference.
