The Committee to Review the Discipline Statute was a special committee established in 1968 on the recommendation of the Standing Sub-Committee of the Education Committee. It was to review Chapter XII of the statutes governing the Board of Discipline. Original members included Prof. A. Rogerson (Chairman), Prof. A.C. Castles, Prof. R.B. Potts, Prof. C.J. Horne, Prof. D.R. Stranks, Mr. W. Manos and Mr. A.J. Cannon - the latter two being SRC representatives.
The Committee produced a Statement of Principles for circulation and comment. It was decided that the statement was not sufficiently comprehensive and the Committee was replaced by the Committee on Discipline in February 1970 which was renamed the Committee on Rights and Responsibilities in April 1970.
