ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY: Established from 14 Feb. 1975 as a result of the recommendation of the Ancillary Staff Committee on 31 May 1974 that the Ancillary Staff and Clerical Staff Review Committees be disolved an dreplaced by an Industrial Relations Committee (subsequently named industrial Matters Committee), and Ancillary Staff Liaison Committee and an Ancillary Staff Promotions Review Committee. Proposals for the regulation of industrial matters were accepted by Council at its meetings of 14 Feb. 1975, at which the term of reference and membership of the Industrial Matters Committee were approved. The Committee was appointed by Council at a further meeting of 11 April comprising Dr. H.J. Rodda, J.Scott, O.E Slight and the pro-Vice-Chancellor ex officio (until arrival of Deputy Vice-Chancellor). The Committee was discontinued in 1982 following the establishment of the Personnel Matters Committee and its Industrial Negotiations Sub-Committee.
