Records Management Office (RMO)
University records are our memory of decisions and transactions across a huge range of academic and administrative activities.
Responsible records management minimises risk of legal liability on the part of the University, and enables a higher service provision to the University community. Records are also an important part of the University of Adelaide's heritage. If managed well, they provide insight into the development of the University over its long history, and preserve the memory of its organisational endeavours and achievements.
The aim of the Records Management Office is to enable the preservation of administrative, academic and cultural heritage of the University through the provision of timely, cost-effective records management services. These include:
- a centralised file storage and retrieval service,
- the provision of electronic document management services,
- a variety of educational and outreach programs, and
records management consultancy services.
