Office of Industry Liaison
The University of Adelaide has a long and proud record of excellence in teaching, research and service. Much of this activity has been directly relevant to Adelaide and to the South Australian community. The University has increasingly placed a high emphasis on establishing and reinforcing its links with industry. The University has been extremely successful in obtaining industry collaborative research grants and industry placed scholarships.

The University's Office of Industry Liaison operates from the University's Research Park which hosts commercial tenants, university research groups and postgraduate students. The Office is responsible for the general promotion and facilitation of industry links with the University; development and management of a Graduate Entrepreneurial Program; promotion of enterprise education opportunities; and strengthening school and community links between the University and the western region of Adelaide.

Adelaide Research and Innovation Pty Ltd
Adelaide Research and Innovation (ARI) Pty Ltd is the commercialisation company of the University of Adelaide. ARI Pty Ltd's purpose is to aid the advancement, development and practical application and impact of the University's research community by providing:

  • legal assistance with contract and intellectual property matters;
  • business development;
  • technology transfer; and
  • commercialisation advice.

Education Centre for Innovation and Commercialisation (ECIC)
The ECIC mission is to encourage entrepreneurship and wealth creation by developing capability in the management (including project management) of innovation and its commercialisation.

ECIC provides programs in Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Project Management. The value of these programs lies in their relevance to the needs of the knowledge based economy. Experienced professionals and graduates are provided with a wide range of learning opportunities to grasp the critical knowledge and acquire the skills needed to pursue Entrepreneurial activities, manage the Commercialisation process and undertake effective Innovation and Project Management strategies.
