Information for Researchers

Research Branch
Research Branch provides research support services for the University's research community in areas such as traditional research grant administration, research policy, the provision of general and strategic advice to researchers and research leaders.

Animal Welfare
The Animal Welfare Officer promotes awareness and best practice in the care of animals. Animal Welfare is part of the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Research).

Commercialisation and Innovation
Commercialisation and Innovation activities are supported by the Office of Industry Liaison, Adelaide Research and Innovation Pty Ltd and the Education Centre for Innovation and Commercialisation.

Faculty Associate Deans (Research)
Associate Deans (Research) are members of the University Research Committee (URC) and foster their faculties' research endeavours and promote research collaboration with other research organisations, government, industry and the wider community.

Research Ethics, Biosafety and Quarantine
The Research Ethics and Compliance Unit (RECU) within Research Branch, provide administrative support for the Animal Ethics Committee, the Human Research Ethics Committee, Quarantine Compliance and Gene Technology Compliance (Institutional Biosafety Committee).

Researcher Career Development
The University of Adelaide is committed to the continual development of our researchers careers. Most recently a Researcher Career Development Committee has been established and is convened by Professor Julie Owens. The Committee was established to develop strategies to help meet the needs of researchers at different stages of their career.
