Process Flowchart for New Higher Degree by Research Students

1. Choose your institution

2. Contact prospective supervisors to find out if they are able to take you on as a HDR student

Having a discussion with potential supervisors is an important way to find out about the projects they have on offer and their capacity to accept you as a student. Don't know how to find a supervisor?

3. Complete the Admission and/or Scholarship Application form

The application form must be completed by you and submitted to the Graduate Centre.

4. Await notification of your acceptance into the HDR program

If you run into difficulties at this stage you can contact the Graduate Centre for further advice.

5. Complete your Enrolment Form and begin your research!

A hard copy of your enrolment form will be posted to you. Please ensure that ALL the required information on the enrolment form is completed. Some sections will need to be completed and signed by you, other sections must be completed by your School/Discipline.
