History and Institute Development
Founded in 2008, The Robinson Institute is named after renowned obstetrician, Professor Jeffery Robinson. It comprises four well-established research centres within The University of Adelaide:
- Research Centre for Reproductive Health
- Research Centre for Early origins of Health and Disease
- Centre for Stem Cell Research
- Australian research Centre for Health of Women and Babies
The uniting of these centres in the form of the Robinson Institute has allowed for collaboration amongst a team of more than 350 research staff and students. The result is highly-valuable multidisciplinary research that opens up potential for significant medical advances.
