Peter Couche Foundation

Peter Couche is a remarkable man who is determined to make a difference for people who have suffered a stroke. While on a business trip to Singapore in 1992, Peter suffered an irreversible brain-stem stroke. Peter was a highly successful Australian stockbroker based in London and father of three.

Peter’s stroke left him a quadriplegic with Locked-in Syndrome. He can not speak and has little muscle control but has an active and alert brain.

In association with the Robinson Institute and the University of Adelaide, Peter has established the Peter Couche Foundation to raise funds to support the Stem Cell for Stroke research of the Robinson Institute. This research provides hope for brain repair treatment for stroke damaged brains.
