Welcome to the South Australian Epigenetics Facility

The SA Epigenetics Facility houses a PyroMark MD Pyrosequencer (Biotage, Sweden). This is currently the only pyrosequencer available for research and commercial use in South Australia. The PyroMark MD Pyrosequencer uses the latest sequencing by synthesis technology to enable the detection and quantification of SNPs and DNA methylation with high accuracy. Located within the Medical School at the University of Adelaide, the facility aims to provide a cost effective pyrosequencing service.

The SA Epigenetics Facility currently offers the following services:

• DNA methylation quantification
• Allele frequency quantification
• Genotyping and SNP analysis
