Quality Control

Pyrosequencing is currently the only rapid genetic analysis method that yields true sequence data. The output data from pyrosequencing technology is the gold standard of genetic information: the sequence itself.

Quality control is therefore a matter of reading the sequence surrounding the region of interest (SNP or CpG site). This "built-in quality control" effectively negates the need to run extra controls as each pyrosequencing assay contains all the necessary information required for validation.
