Exam Request System (ERS)
All exam requests have to be entered and confirmed by the due date. The system will be deactivated so that the provisional timetable can be produced. Any requests that have not been confirmed, or not entered, may not be accommodated. The provisional timetable will be circulated prior to publishing the final timetable. All provisional exam dates and times are subject to change and are not for publication or distribution. Please compare the details of your requested exams to the provisional timetable and advise the Exams Office (in writing) of any ommissions or anomalies by the scheduled deadline (prior to the release of the Final Exam Timetable).
ERS Data Entry
Please refer to the Exam Request System Data Entry Guide for data entry standards, and Exam Request Checklist (.pdf) or (.docx) to ensure exam request is completed correctly.
Regardless of whether your exam request has been rolled over or entered as new, please ensure that for each exam request:
- The examiner confirms the duration and materials allowed for the exam.
- If the exam (or any part of the exam) is open book the double desk box is ticked.
- The examiner indicates in the materials panel that the exam consists of open and closed book components (if required).
- Only those courses with students actually enrolled are confirmed.
- All courses and entries are entered and confirmed by ticking the confirmation box (including INTI and Bradford). Exams will not be scheduled if the box is not ticked.
- If the majority of students are expected to graduate, ensure that the box 'Course contains prospective graduates' is ticked.
- All same-time courses are linked.
- Different offerings with the same name are clearly identified, for example:
8892 (STATS 3008) Biostatics III - U/G
8892 (STATS 6008) Biostatics III - P/G
8892 (STATS 3008BR) Biostatics III - Bradford
(This will assist students in finding the correct seats for their courses in the exam venue).
Training
If anyone in your area requires ERS training (including refresher training) please check the course schedule on the ITS website for the next available training sessions.
The Exams Office may run a briefing session prior to exam periods to refresh processes, if required.
